Waldorf Rice Salad
A classic salad favorite with a value added twist. Chopped celery, red apples, raisins and walnuts mixed with UNCLE BEN'S® CONVERTED® Brand Rice and served on a bed of lettuce.

Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups UNCLE BEN’S® CONVERTED® Brand Original Rice
  • 1 1/2 cups Walnuts, coarsely chopped
  • 2 qts. Water
  • 1 Tbsp. Salt
  • 1 1/2 qts. Whipped topping
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 qt. Mayonnaise
  • 1 qt. Celery, sliced
  • 5 large Red apples, cored and coarsely chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups Raisins

Directions

  1. Cook rice in water with salt according to package directions.
  2. Cover and chill.
  3. Fold whipped topping and sugar into mayonnaise.
  4. Add celery, apples, raisins and walnuts to chilled, cooked rice.
  5. Fold in whipped topping mixture.
