Stove Top

  1. Combine 1 ½ quarts (6 cups) water*, 8 ounces (1 cup) butter or margarine and contents of seasoning packet in a stock pot. Bring to a boil.
  2. Stir in bread crumb mixture. Transfer to a serving pan, cover and keep warm (160F). Fluff with fork before serving.

Oven Method

  1. Combine 1 ½ quarts (6 cups) HOT (140?-180?F) water*, 8 ounces (1 cup) butter or margarine and contents of seasoning packet in a full-size steam table pan. Stir well, until butter or margarine is melted.
  2. Stir in bread crumb mixture. Cover and bake in a 350?F conventional oven (about 25 minutes). For drier stuffing, bake uncovered Keep warm (160?F). Fluff with fork before serving.
