Banana Bread made with TWIX® Cookie Bars

Ingredients

Banana Bread Batter:

  • 4 bananas, ripe
  • ⅓ c unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 c granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 t vanilla extract
  • 1 t baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 T cinnamon, ground
  • 1 c all-purpose flour
  • 6 T TWIX® Cookie Bars, ¼” chopped

Topping:

  • 4 cookies shortbread cookie, ¾” chopped
  • ½ c soft caramels, cut in half
  • 6 T TWIX® Cookie Bars, ¼” chopped
  • 1 banana, firm, ½” chopped

Banana Bread made with TWIX® Cookie Bars

Makes: 1 loaf (10 slices)

Direction

Banana Bread Batter:

  1. Combine bananas, butter and sugar. Blend until fully incorporated.
  2. Add egg, vanilla, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and flour. Mix until combined.
  3. Fold in chopped TWIX® Cookie Bars.
  4. Pour batter into a prepared loaf pan. (9"x5"x3")

Topping:

  1. Press the shortbread cookie pieces and caramels into the batter evenly. Top with chopped TWIX® Cookie Bars and the sliced bananas.
  2. Bake at 350°F for 35-45 minutes or until fully baked. You may have to loosely cover the loaf with foil to prevent over browning.
  3. Remove from oven, cool completely and slice into 10 equal portions. Serve by the slice.
