Ingredients

  • 1 Banana
  • ¾ cup or 3.7 oz. SNICKERS®  Bar, crushed, ¼", frozen
  • 2 Phyllo sheets, 14" x 18", thawed
  • Butter, unsalted, melted
  • Cinnamon, ground
  • Caramel sauce for garnish
  • Crushed SNICKERS® Bar for garnish

Bananarama

Makes: 16 (8 per Phyllo Sheet)

Fresh sliced bananas and crushed SNICKERS® Bar are wrapped together in buttery phyllo dough and baked until they’re a flaky and crisp golden brown. Drizzled with caramel sauce and sprinkled with crushed SNICKERS® Bar.

Direction

  1. Preheat  convection oven to 400°F.
  2. Cut banana in quarters lengthwise, line up the quarters and slice into ½"-thick pieces.
  3. In a medium bowl, toss the banana with the crushed SNICKERS® Bar, evenly coating all of the banana pieces.
  4. On a clean cutting board, lay out one sheet of phyllo dough and completely brush with melted butter.
  5. Lightly sprinkle cinnamon over buttered phyllo sheet.
  6. Lay a second piece of phyllo over the first and completely brush with butter.
  7. Slice the phyllo sheets into 1 ½" strips.
  8. Place 1 heaping teaspoon (approx. ½ oz.) of filling at the top of the row.
  9. Fold phyllo over filling into a triangle, continuing to fold over until dough is gone.
  10. Brush triangle with melted butter to coat both sides.
  11. Place desired number of Bananaramas on parchment-lined baking sheet.
  12. Bake until golden brown, approximately 5–7 minutes.
  13. Place desired number in serving container, top with caramel sauce, and sprinkle with crushed SNICKERS® Bar. Serve with vanilla ice cream or sorbet if desired.
