Fried SNICKERS® Bar Banana Split

Ingredients

  • 1 SNICKERS® Bar
  • 1 Lumpia wrapper, thawed
  • 2 #16 scoops Ice cream, vanilla
  • 1/2 Banana, fresh, peeled, split in half crosswise
  • 2 dollops Whipped cream
  • 2 Maraschino cherries, with stems
  • 1 oz. Chocolate sauce
  • 1 oz. Caramel sauce

Fried SNICKERS® Bar Banana Split

Makes: 1 serving

What could be more indulgent? This fresh twist on an old classic features fresh banana, scoops of vanilla ice cream, and a crisp fried SNICKERS® Bar-all finished with drizzles of chocolate and caramel sauce, whipped cream, and maraschino cherries.

Direction

  1. Wrap room temperature SNICKERS® Bar in lumpia wrapper, in the style of rolling a tortilla. Dab the final fold/flap with small smount of water to help seal wrapper.
  2. Fry wrapped candy bar, seam side down, in a 350°F fryer for 1 minute. Allow to drain for 10 seconds. Reserve hot.
  3. Place ice cream in center of sundae dish. Top with hot fried SNICKERS® Bar.
  4. Place slice of banana on each side of ice cream.
  5. Pipe whipped cream beside each banana slice.
  6. Top each dollop with cherry.
  7. Drizzle entire sundae with both sauces.
  8. Serve immediately.

Hints

  • It is important to utilize a room temperature SNICKERS® Bar, versus frozen.
  • Substitute various ice cream flavors for an even more indulgent sundae: caramel, chocolate, peanut butter, etc.
  • The fried SNICKERS® Bar makes a great treat served on its own. Try it with a caramel dipping sauce.
